I Can Call You Boobie...

My friends, I have an extra special gift for a bunch of you with common American names: the gift... of new nicknames.

Bobbie knows what I'm talking 'bout, don't ya, hon'?

Yes, yes she does.

So let's get to it - and fingers crossed you find your name in here!

This one works for Bob *or* Deb. A twofer!

Tiffany, your new nickname just entails everyone using finger quotes when addressing you:

anna.lw.redhotmamastory.jpg

You're "welcome."

katiew.ow.pumpkins.jpg

This one was almost my favorite - but then I found this:

DawnL.ow.birthdayballoonstext.jpg

YOU MAY NOW ADDRESS ME AS "THE GRAND JENNIZZLE."
And while you're at it, bring me some Twix bars. Chop chop!

hannahwil.ow.bdaynamebenmisspell.jpg

And you thought three letter names would be safe.

I think this one must be intentional, but it still made me bust a gut:

jenniferh.ow.farewellphotomisspell.jpg

"I have been, and shall always be, your... wait, who are you?"

Thanks to Ashleigh P., Catherine S., Chelsea P., Chelsea N., Allegra S., Anna, Katie, Dawn L., Hannah W., & Jennifer H. for the great name maim game.

Didn't see your name butchered here? Well, never fear, dear Wreckies; I have so many name wrecks to share I had to split them into two posts - so watch for the second batch later this week!

I've wanted to replace our cats' cheap name tags for years, so I finally went looking on Amazon this week and bought these:

Stainless Steel Pet ID Tags

They're so much nicer than the old aluminum ones! Laser engraving, lots of different shapes, plus free engraving of up to 4 lines on both sides, for about $8 each. NOICE. I got a heart for Suki and a star for Eva, since she's named after Evangeline the North star.

Just make sure you don't misspell anything, this is one name butchering that could last forever. :p

Sunday Sweets: A Disney Movie Marathon

It's time for a Disney Movie Sweets Marathon!

Let's kick it off with a few classics, shall we?

(By CW reader Brittnee W., who's in culinary school!)

Cinderella's helpers really did have great taste; her original pink dress just doesn't get enough love these days, which is why I especially love this cake! The trailing "threads" and blue beads are a great touch.

And who here remembers the Aristocats?

Ok, I admit it: I honestly don't remember ever watching this movie. o.0 Oh, I bet it’s on Disney Plus! Anyhoo, regardless, these characters look like collectible porcelain statues - and that bridge on the bottom tier? AMAZING.

Here's a newer classic, and a personal favorite:

Tangled!

Take a sec to really look at all those details, guys. The little bunnies! The moss on the stones! The individual shingles! I've got a dream, and it involves that tower under a big glass dome on my desk.

This next cake's badness level is at ZERO:

Yep, any alien experiment bringing me a cupcake is A-Ok in my book.
(Also digging Stitch's lil' nose wrinkle.)

Timon and Pumba, on the other hand, have a slightly more questionable offering:

Bug cake? Gee, guys, you shouldn't have.

Another classic movie, paired with some truly ingenious cake design:

(And thanks to @EchoGalfas for helping me track down the world's most elusive cake!)

Can we talk about that globe encircling the apple? And the evil witch sculpted over the glass? GENIUS, I tell you. And that's not even mentioning the hand-painted cottage, or the 3D sculpted Dwarves nestled in roses!

That's a tough act to follow, but I think this Frozen beauty just might manage:

At what point does your brain just short-out from the staggering amount of talent in these cakes? 'Cuz mine's long gone, and we still have four more cakes to go!

When John and I visited Disneyland, one of my favorite parts of the park was the giant whale's mouth you sail through during the Storybook Land Canal Boats. It's based on Monstro from Pinocchio, of course, but I never thought I'd see him in cake form!

As impressive as Monstro is, I've gotta point out those waves, too. Frothy perfection.

For obvious reasons, I have a certain... affinity... with Ralph here:

(By The Royal Bakery)

Nice to see he hasn't wrecked this cake, though!

(Though you must admit, a Wreck-It-Ralph Cake Wreck would be deliciously ironic.)

I'm going to end with two my favorite movies.

First, the queen of Poor Unfortunate Souls herself:

(By Christian Giardina)

Took me a second to spot them, but Flotsam and Jetsam are in there, too!

And finally, I couldn't find an Iago cake to feature, so instead, here's the most jaw-dropping Aladdin masterpiece I have ever seen:

(By Artcake)

And for all I know, Iago IS in there; there are so many tiny details, I'm still finding new things to look at!

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm seriously jonesing for some Disney movies now. That, and cake, of course. ;) Hope you guys have a great Sunday!

Over a year ago some friends introduced me and John to Codenames, and we were instantly addicted. To play you give your team/partner a one word clue, then see how many correct answers they can guess from the grid - while the opposing team plays from the same grid. It's a great brain-teaser party game for the whole family, and I can't wait to play it again with friends.

AND, even better, now there's a Disney version!

Codenames Disney Family Edition

The pictures make this more fun for kids and big kids like me. :D
Or if Disney's not your thing, there's also a Harry Potter version!
