Sunday Sweets: Light & Airy Wedding Cakes

I've been stockpiling wedding pretties in my "to-post" folder, guys, and today is finally the day.

BEHOLD!

(By Cake Heart)

Would you call this metallic peach, or bright copper? I'm thinking peach.
Whichever, I love how light it is, and that bottom trim texture really intrigues me.

Speaking of texture:

Or how about these ombré spirals?

(By Sift by Kara)

So much to love here!

Do you prefer Art Nouveau?

(By Kaytee Trudeau-Leet)

...or Art Deco?

(By Faye Cahill Cake Design)

I CAN'T CHOOSE.

Ooh, here's something different: ever seen ribbon embroidery?

(By Bobbette and Belle)

Ribbon embroidery looks exactly like this, only you usually can't eat it. WOWIE. (How?!)

Another mind bender? This perfectly pieced mosaic:

This reminds me of the Moroccan wall fountain in Epcot. Just gorgeous.

A wonder in white:

::dreamy sigh::

This next one makes me think of poofy Marie Antoinette gowns and fine china teacups:

(By Zoe Clark Cakes)

Doesn't that blue look like the softest suede? And look at the pearly sheen on the bottom tier! Plus there's the lace trim, the perfect bow, the teensy flowers...!!

At the opposite end of the style spectrum, I've got this bold, modern number:

Those vivid watercolors are singing my song. And I spy a Hidden Mickey in the blue ruffles - think that was intentional? :D

Let's wrap things up with a gloriously subtle beach theme:

(By The Vagabond Baker)

I say "subtle" because it took me a while to spot all the elements! Starting from the bottom, there's sugar netting, a driftwood base, a sea urchin shell, a nautical rope heart, seashell "petals" (topped with pearls!), a fish scale pattern, and a coral topper!

I am in awe.

Hope you enjoyed the pretties! Happy Sunday!
