Sunday Sweets: Bright Summer Florals
One of my favorite things about Summer is all the COLOR. Bright florals are everywhere, and I can't get enough:

I love it when bakers paint with buttercream!
I'm also smitten with the bright, almost neon pastels that are all the rage this season:

Doesn't this make you want a fruity cocktail slushy? Or one of those new raspberry Dole Whips at Disney? Mmmm.

Speaking of Disney, at Epcot's last Flower & Garden Fest there was a booth dying silk scarves in a water-marbling bath. The designs looked a lot like this! So soft and delicate.
Or how about a bold marbled design?

YES PLEASE.
The bright pink flowers are perfect with this - not to mention the shiny gold accents. Hnnng.
A gorgeous purple number:

How funky cool are those tentacle branches at the bottom?
And check out the satiny sheen on this beauty:

I love the splatter effect around the hummingbirds! Modern and so, so gorgeous.
I keep coming back to this pink-and-blue color combo, but can you blame me?
(By Albena Cakes, Quebec, Canada)
It's SO pretty. Plus this embroidered look has my jaw on the keyboard. HOW?
Speaking of colors that go great together, look at this:

WOW. Who would have thought to put yellow, fuchsia, and purple together? Besides this genius baker, I mean? This is one of those Sweets I could have framed on a wall and just stare at all day. Mmmm.
And finally, one more candidate for framing:

It's just so FUN, right? They even snuck in some orange, my favorite color! Eeeeee!!
Yep, I'll be over here swooning, you guys go on without me.
Hope these made you smile, everyone! Happy Sunday!
