How The South Celebrates The First Week Of Autumn
It's the first week of Autumn, minions, and I think I speak for ALL Floridians when I glare bitterly at everyone north of us for daring to have temperatures below 85 degrees.
That's not so say we don't know how to party Autumnal style here in the South, though, because BOY HOWDY DO WE.
First there are the hurricanes.
Dorian was just an appetizer.
Then we get our second Love Bug Season of the year, because oh yes, we get two. (Jealous?)
I was about to say the real ones aren't this cute, but who am I kidding. These are terrifying.
And hey, up North has pretty falling leaves? Well WE'VE GOT DEAD FOLIAGE, TOO:
Boom.
Not to mention all our spontaneous swimming pools...
And colorful baked-on sidewalk casualties....
Plus - PLUS! - these things bakers keep claiming are flamingos.
Sure, bakers.
Sure.
Well, happy Fall, y'all. Now if you'll excuse me, I'mma go crank the A/C, sprinkle some plastic leaves around the house, and online shop for cute knee-high boots I'll never wear.
Thanks to Miriam S., Dawn Z., Maryssa R., PJ S., Shannon C., & Kara H., for making like a wreckerator, and plastic leaving. (That joke almost made sense in my head.)
I promise I was looking for something Autumn-related, but this t-shirt simply demanded to be shared:
Bahahaha!
(Hey, I live here. I'm allowed.)
