10 Woodland Wonders For Fall
It's happened, my friends. Florida officially hit temperature BELOW 80 degrees! WOOHOO!
Which means I can finally post some pretty Fall cakes, now that I'm not burning up with jealousy over everyone who gets to wear cute scarves right now.
(Carrie Sellman, Virginia)
In this age of fondant I'm such a sucker for hand-piped flowers and greenery, and these are gorgeous.
You can almost feel the cool Autumn breeze on this one:
(Anka P, Slovakia)
Plus I love this design! The golden apple, the standing flower with the pop of red leaves, it all works.
Prepare for cute overload, because this hand-painted fox is pleased as punch about something:
(GDE Tort, Russia)
The oranges and cinnamon stick on top make me think those are the flavors, too, which sounds HEAVENLY.
I never thought a stump cake could look this elegant:
(Sladkie Shtuckki, Russia)
It's that bright green moss, right? And the translucent sugar leaves? Ahhh-mazing.
Here's another cute scarf, though I like the little knit cap even more:
(Cakes By Lorna, Slovakia)
Another great design, these antlers arch up to make a branchy circle, which looks super cool:
(MoliCakes, Slovakia)
More great moss on the base, too, plus those climbing mushrooms are fantastic.
Back to cute stuff ('cuz I gotta be me) with the most adorable hedgehog burrow - and it's built right into the cake!
(Anna Vnukova, Russia)
Omigosh. Look at the teeny chair and lamp and clock and teddy bear!!
Plus, building the steps down into a traditional 3-tier cake like that? Brilliant.
Here comes another stump cake, this time topped with a hand-painted owl cookie that steals the show:
(Olga Kolikova, Russia)
It looks like the moss is made of green-tinted pound cake, which is SO clever, and the blackberries are the perfect accent on top.
And finally, one last stump cake, only this one is home to a little woodland fairy!
(Natalya Bondarenko, Russia)
Eeeeee! The little door! And WOW is that bark convincing, not to mention the mushrooms and leaves. Just perfection.
I hope these made you smile, gang and put you in the mood for some cider or pumpkin spice! Now get out there and wear those cute scarves with pride!

P.S. I found you a foxy scarf. Also an owly one.
They're lightweight for us Southerners, and in my favorite colors for everyone. :)
