Sunday Sweets Celebrates New Horizons
I played Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on my phone for over a year, and loved every minute of it. Now everyone's playing New Horizons on the Switch, and even though I don't have it to play myself, I love it for helping so many people. Nearly everyone I know plays New Horizons and tells me it's been a desperately-needed place of peace and community the past three months.
That sounds like something worth celebrating, don't you think?

This is Tom Nook. I think he's new this game? And a very snazzy dresser.
I definitely remember Stitches, though:

So cute, and yet so creepy with the X eyes.
Love the soft colors here - and that we get a pink Octopus this game!

If you're still catching up on what the heck I'm talking about, these are all characters from a game you play on the Switch, btw.
And if you're still catching up on what a Switch is, here's what one looks like:

That grumpy face has never looked more adorable.
I usually feature frosted or fondant-covered cakes here, so THIS is a fun new treat:

Here's another familiar face from my Pocket Camp days:

Isabelle! I love how the baker used cookies to make the decorations here, plus the star lollipops are a fun touch.
More adorableness:
And just in case you're tempted to doubt this next one is really a cake...

BOOM. I love slice shots like this, they break my brain in the best way.
Here's ol' Tom again relaxing on the CUTEST little beach:

I keep staring at the "foam" on that wave. Wow.
And finally, a cake that only works for this extremely specific point in history, which of course is what makes it so great:

I think that TP roll in the water is a lost cause, y'all.

I hope these made you smile, and helped you celebrate your favorite game! Or if you've never played New Horizons and are looking for a new favorite, then be sure to check it out because apparently it's amazing.
Also, Animal Crossing fans, did you know they make plushes of a bunch of the characters? Because ermergersh LOOK:
