Sunday Sweets Mixes It Up
There's a growing trend to make every tier on multi-tiered cakes completely different from the others, and while I'm usually a matchy-matchy kinda girl, I gotta say, some of these are downright magical:
(Sweet Symphony Desserts, India)
OooOOooh. Those iridescent leaves made my jaw drop.
And here come some of my favorite colors:
(Tortilnico, Bulgaria)
This one feels like an entire art exhibit all by itself:
(Ami, Uganda)
I've always loved bold stripes and florals together:
(Kara's Couture Cakes, online tutorials)
Those teals planks are such a great contrast with the gold.
Pattern clashing looks amazing with limited colors:
(Magical Edible Art, Canada)
Like these!
(Sugar Cakes, Canada)
And I'm even more impressed when bakers make it work with a whole range of unusual combos:
(Charm City Cakes, Maryland)
There's a lot going on here to love. That ruffle? The micro beads? Amazing.
Ohhh, look at this marbling:
(Rebekah Naomi Cake Design, Virginia)
Such great colors!
I debated whether or not this next one was too weird, but I both love it and kinda want to hug it?
(Sugarpatch Cakes, UK)
Look at those awesome textures! I think the middle tier is actually covered with roses, but they look like fluffy pom-poms from here.
And finally, a modern day-glo beauty that looks like a piece of digital art come to life:
(Charm City Cakes West, Los Angeles)
That red palm frond layered over a blue flower is my favorite. So good.
I hope these made you smile, gang, and that your Sunday is extra Sweet.
