Sunday Sweets: Toons From Our Childhood

I've been on a retro movie kick lately, and I gotta say, Explorers? The 80s flick about 3 kids who build a spaceship and go meet celebrity-impersonating aliens? TOTALLY HOLDS UP. Go watch it on Netflix, and tell me I'm wrong.

And while we're relishing in some sweet, sweet nostalgia, how 'bout the cartoons we grew up with? No, not Rugrats, you young whippersnappers - I'm talking real old school. Like Popeye:

Little known fact: Marvin's ray gun is named the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator, so when I made my first steampunk ray gun, I had a plaque made naming it the Illudium SP-36 Aether Sub-Modulator (SP for "steam powered," of course.)
